This brat of mine occasionally likes to eat blankets 🤣. She even manages to look sorry when she’s busted!
Hopefully you don’t have this exact problem, but we all have blankets, clothes, or other textiles that need to be properly disposed of in Massachusetts. In November of 2022, the state got serious about textile waste and recycling, banning a new list of items from our everyday trash. For details on the new rules, go to https://www.mass.gov/guides/textile-recovery.
So if we can’t throw this stuff away anymore, what do we do with it? Onward to Google I went and found an awesome resource! Maybe you’ve found it too, but it’s called Beyond the Bin by Recycle Smart, and it’s a search engine designed specifically to help solve the problem of where to recycle stuff like my chewed up blankets (among many others).
I get asked a lot how to properly dispose and recycle things that don’t bother anyone on a shelf in the garage, but come moving time (or when your dog gets bored 😆 ) these items can become a big hassle! Check out https://recyclesmartma.org/beyond-the-bin-search/ for more information on where and how to handle your recyclables. It’s been a handy tool in my household and I hope it helps you too!
